Motocross Tracks in Missouri

Adrenaline Motorplex (A.M.P) is an off-road racing facility at 4159 NW State Route FF in Adrian, in Bates County, west-central Missouri, hosting private events, open practices and competition for motocross, ATV, UTV, trucks and mud runs. It is the home base and namesake operation of the Heartland MX Championship Series, a Midwest dirt-bike series (operated by 'Nisha' under HMX) that runs open-to-the-public practice and racing across Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Iowa and Illinois. The venue typically opens the Heartland MX season with a spring round (Round 1 around March 22-23) before the series tours partner tracks across the region. The venue announced its final day of riding in May 2025 and has shown no activity since; the operator's Heartland MX series now runs at other area tracks.

Boogerwoods MX Park was an outdoor motocross track on Highway 171 in Joplin, Missouri (Jasper County), that historically ran Saturday practice and racing (roughly 10 AM to dark). No current website, social media, series listing, or event activity could be found - the only surviving references are stale MX directory entries last updated around 2018 - so the track appears defunct, with the area's modern motocross activity having shifted to newer venues such as the 4-State Moto Complex in Neosho.

Boone Valley MX Park is a rider-built outdoor motorcycle complex at 8845 Seminary Road, Sullivan, Missouri, southeast of St. Louis. The site combines a motocross track, an endurocross/extreme-enduro track, a creek section and a training area, and it is strictly motorcycles-only (no quads, side-by-sides or Jeeps). It operates on an events/announced-days basis rather than fixed daily hours, so check its Facebook page (Boone Valley MX Park LLC) for current open dates.

Buffalo Motocross was a roughly 50-acre privately owned natural-terrain motocross track on Hayes Road in Buffalo, in south-central Missouri (Dallas County). The mile-long course (motorcycles only; no ATVs/UTVs) mixed loamy soil, sawdust and hard-packed sections, with a long uphill triple, multiple table-tops and plenty of berms, and ran open practice and racing for about $20 per rider. It has since shut down - Google lists the business as permanently closed and motocross directories report the track as gone/'destroyed,' with the land possibly redeveloped - so it is confirmed still closed.

Cabool MX Racing is a supercross-style motocross track at 345 Cannaday Lane, Cabool, Missouri (Texas County), in the south-central Ozarks. The course is known for a roughly 80-foot tabletop and an adjacent pit-bike track, with on-site concessions, restrooms with running water and men's and women's showers/dressing rooms. The business (Cabool MX Racing LLC) dates to about 2005, but recent operating status could not be confirmed and should be verified before traveling.

Hard Knox Park was a motocross facility at 11485 Cattail Rd, Phillipsburg, in Laclede County, south-central Missouri. It is no longer operating - the Phillipsburg track has been reported as out of operation, with no current schedule, contact, or events. It is confirmed still closed.

Hwy 65 MX (Highway 65 Motocross) was a motocross and ATV race track on US Highway 65 near Cole Camp in Benton County, west-central Missouri, with running water, bathrooms and free camping. It hosted races in the early 2010s. The track itself is gone: the Google Business listing is marked permanently closed and current satellite imagery along that stretch of US-65 shows only farmland. The Hwy65MX operation continues today as a race promoter based out of Sedalia, running county-fair motocross events such as the Cass County Fair races in Pleasant Hill.

Legends Raceway MX was a motocross practice/race track at E 430th Rd, Halfway, in Polk County, southwest Missouri, which ran Saturday/Sunday with a low gate fee and allowed both practice and racing. It is permanently closed - the track no longer exists and the land has been redeveloped, with no plans to reopen. It is confirmed still closed.

Midwest Extreme Park is an events-only motocross facility at 13628 NW State Route Y near Drexel/Merwin, Missouri, about an hour south of Kansas City, operated by Talon Motorsports (which also runs the 314 Compound track in Scranton, Iowa). The roughly 250-acre property features a 1.25-mile natural-terrain motocross track, an arenacross/straight-rhythm area, a pit bike and kids track, and a hare-scramble loop of up to nine miles through the trails. It is run on a race- and practice-weekend basis rather than daily open riding and has hosted AHRMA / Missouri Vintage Motocross (MOVMX) vintage rounds. The ~250-acre property was sold in 2025, so its future as a motocross venue is unconfirmed — verify before visiting.

Outback MX Park is permanently closed. The track's own archived site listed its final event on 2012-09-30; both domains were parked by 2016, the real Facebook page was deleted, and the parcel was never sold. Outback MX Park (Outback Moto Park) is a natural-terrain motocross track at 23675 State Hwy Z, LaGrange, Missouri (Lewis County), in the northeast corner of the state. The roughly 1.4-mile layout runs over hilly natural terrain with notable elevation changes and a mix of doubles, triples, table-tops, uphills and downhills for all skill levels. Its standalone website (outbackmxpark.com) is currently unreachable and no recent social media or event activity could be found, so its current operating status is uncertain (possibly dormant).

Playground MX (Playground Motocross) is an outdoor motocross track on HH Highway near the YMCA in Carthage, Jasper County, southwest Missouri, just east of Joplin. Started around 2000, it is a roughly one-mile loam course with a 30-rider falling start gate, doubles, triples, tabletops, whoops and rhythm sections built for a range of skill levels. In recent years it has only opened very seldom for occasional events rather than regular practice, and no confirmed current race schedule could be found, so its active status is uncertain.

River Bottom MX is an events-only motocross facility at 6 Ridle Rd near Kaiser, Missouri (Miller County), in the Lake of the Ozarks area. It hosts organized races and practice days rather than daily open riding, with gate/ride fees in roughly the $10-$30 range, and it serves as a round of the Missouri State Motocross Championship Series, including its annual River Bottom MX Championships. Its current operating status is unconfirmed — verify before visiting.

ROMP MX (Richwoods Off-Road Moto Park) was a roughly 100-acre, tree-lined motocross facility on Bear Cove Lane in Richwoods, Missouri, run by Ed and Teresa LaChance of LaChance Racing. It featured a groomed and watered, lighted MX track plus a separate TT track, with on-site parking and camping; dirt bikes and ATVs were welcome but UTVs/street-registered vehicles were not. The track is reported closed — current operating status unconfirmed; verify before visiting.

SEMO Raceway is a multi-purpose dirt motorsports complex at 2101 Hwy U near Blodgett/north of Sikeston, Missouri (Scott County), built around a one-fifth-mile semi-banked clay oval plus a 300-foot sand/mud drag strip and ATV/lawnmower courses. It is fundamentally a dirt-oval, kart, mud-drag and ATV venue rather than a motocross track, and racing-database directories now list it as inactive. It does not belong in a motocross directory as an MX track.

Sky High MX Park is an outdoor motocross facility at 17224 US-61 in Old Appleton, in southeast Missouri's Cape Girardeau County region, professionally designed and built by Dirt Wurx USA and regarded as one of their best amateur tracks. The roughly one-mile track has heavy elevation changes, jumps, rollers and off-camber turns over loamy soil and sand, and the property also has several miles of woods trails used for hare scramble events. It operated on an events-only basis (race and practice weekends), with primitive camping on event weekends, and has hosted rounds of the Mid-South Motocross Championship Series.
