About

Lakeview OHV Park is a 160-acre Iowa DNR off-highway-vehicle park near Solon, in Johnson County north of Iowa City, with on-site upkeep by the volunteer Lakeview Off Road Riders club. It packs in an A-level motocross practice track, a B-level (beginner/intermediate) MX track, an off-road UTV practice track, a pit-bike track and two kiddie tracks, plus a trail network of sand, mud, hard-pack and single-track with hill climbs. It is a free open-ride/practice facility (a current Iowa DNR OHV registration sticker is required) open year round during daylight hours and closing at dusk; no on-site camping is permitted, though Lake Macbride State Park and other campsites lie within five miles.
