About
Sunset Ridge MX is a family-owned outdoor motocross facility near Walnut in Bureau County, north-central Illinois, operated by 4P Promotions, Inc. for more than 25 years. The roughly 1.6-mile track blends natural and man-made obstacles for all skill levels, with primitive camping, hot showers, a country store, and on-site EMS. It is a long-running ATV Motocross National Championship (ATVMX) venue — hosting its 21st annual national in 2026 — and also runs AMA Loretta Lynn Area Qualifiers, a WFO Promotions GP, the Racer X Vet Series, and Midwest VMX vintage racing. Concessions and operations run April through October.
