About
Bluff Creek OHV Park is a 350-acre Iowa DNR off-highway-vehicle park on a reclaimed former coal mine near Eddyville, in Mahaska County southwest of Oskaloosa. The dramatic spoil-bank terrain offers four motocross tracks (ranging from a novice/beginner track to an extremely challenging course nicknamed the 'gravity cavity'), roughly 20 miles of trails, steep hill climbs and deep pits. It is open to ATVs and off-road motorcycles only - not signed for side-by-sides/UTVs - and operates as a free open-ride/practice area year round (weather and trail conditions permitting), with 13 non-electric campsites, flush toilets, showers and water spigots.
