Riverside Raceway is permanently closed — the motocross track is no longer open for riding (reported 2025); only off-road trail events still use the property. Historical records are preserved below. Riverside Raceway was an outdoor motocross track established in 2000 at 2430 Highway 169 just south of Winterset, Iowa (Madison County), along the Middle River. An EF-4 tornado tore through the valley in spring 2022, severely damaging the track and destroying the owner's adjacent home, and the facility announced its permanent closure in July 2022 with all fall events cancelled. The business equipment was auctioned off in October 2024 and the 35-acre property was sold as land only in a May-June 2025 auction; it is confirmed still closed and no longer exists as a track.
